Dropbrit® VCP (Ascorbyl Palmitate) is a vitamin C derivative formed through the esterification of ascorbic acid and palmitic acid. This modification not only enhances the stability of vitamin C but also maintains the reducing group of ascorbic acid within the structure. The introduction of a lipophilic palmitic acid chain enhances binding affinity with hydrophobic groups in the body, effectively terminating free radical chain reactions. It exhibits excellent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, making it suitable for a variety of applications, including foods, health functional foods, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical excipients.
