What is collagen?
Collagen is an important functional substance in the animal body and plays an important role in regulating the normal physiological functions of various organs. At the same time, collagen is an important component of the skin's dermis and plays a key role in skin health. DropCare® CP (Hydrolyzed Collagen) is a hydrolyzed product of collagen whose small molecular weight makes it more easily absorbed by the skin. Hydrolyzed collagen can provide amino acid raw materials for the synthesis of collagen, promote the synthesis of collagen and reduce the generation of wrinkles. It has good moisture absorption and solubility, can accelerate the repair of damaged tissues, increase the softness, elasticity and anti-wrinkle of the skin, and achieve the effect of fading wrinkles.
The figure illustrates the scavenging effect of small-molecule hydrolyzed collagen on free radicals generated by enzymatic hydrolysis of fish scales. Samples A and B represent butylated hydroxytoluene and vitamin E, which serve as the positive control group. The results indicate that hydrolyzed collagen effectively scavenges free radicals.
