Overview: Dropbrit® SAP is an ascorbic acid derivative and a hydrophilic antioxidant in the body. As a derivative, SAP enhances the stability of ascorbic acid. Once absorbed into the human or animal body, ascorbic acid is rapidly enzymatically decomposed by phosphatase, performing its unique physiological and biochemical functions. It protects the skin from free radicals, evens skin tone, and exhibits antioxidant and whitening effects.

Ascorbic acid, a powerful antioxidant, exerts its antioxidant effects by destroying free radicals and their derivatives. When applied topically, it promotes collagen synthesis, inhibits skin discoloration, and improves wrinkles. However, ascorbic acid has low stability. In cosmetics, ascorbic acid can inhibit melanin production in the body, improving freckles and blemishes, whitening the skin, and preventing aging.

Applications : Whitening, wrinkle removal, and skin repair products.

Dosage : 0.5-5 %.

Solubility : SAP is highly hydrophilic and dissolves well in water, and can be prepared in concentrations of 64%, 13.2%, and 1.6% in water, glycerol, and propylene glycol, respectively.

It is insoluble in ethanol, isopropyl tetradecanoate, decyl triglyceride and C12-C15 alkyl benzoate, so it has low skin penetration ability.
